COMMUNITY

Every constituent of the 34th Ward and Chicagoan is entitled to live in neighborhoods that are safe and secure. We must work with police departments, civic and business leaders, elected officials, and local

residents in order to reside in a community we all could be proud of.

If elected Alderman of the 34th Ward, my mission will be to:

  • Advocate for a ban on unfair photo enforcement in Chicago by eliminating red light and speed cameras.

  • Reduce the number of vacant houses in the 34th Ward by giving developers tax incentives to have them rebuild affordable house in the ward for low income individuals and families.

  • Provide a safer environment to educate our children - I will work with law enforcers, local school councils and residents to create Violence Free Zone around our schools, and create After School Programs to assist with keeping our youth off the street and more focused on their future.

  • Reduce unemployment - I propose to work with nonprofit organizations in our community that receive state and federal dollars to provide job training and employment services to residents. In addition, I want to create a network of businesses inside and outside of the 34th Ward that will provide job opportunities for residents who are seeking employment.
